Join us to discover Stroudsburg, PA, “the Heart of the Poconos”!

Welcome!

The Pocono region of Northeast PA has been a vacation destination for decades. Starting after World War II, it became the Honeymoon Capital of America, thanks to its beautiful scenery and its location around 2 hours from New York City, less than that from Philadelphia. In the last 20 years, after the honeymoon business dried up, the Poconos have reinvented themselves with ski areas for the winter, and waterparks and other fantastic activities like fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and canoeing during the summer. Thanks to all the reasons people have to come here, there has been an explosion of delicious eateries and special craft beverage makers that make the Poconos a great place to eat and drink in addition to all the activities offered. We’d love to show you this side of the Poconos!

(No “wanderlust”)

The Poconos are a natural wonder, the happy result of the incredible forces of our planet. They are also steeped in history. Before the region was a vacation haven, it was an industrial center, providing many necessities to the Northeast and Midwest, from ice to lumber. It has at times been a battlefield, playing a key role in the “Seven Years’ War” and the American Revolution. Stroudsburg has been a hub of activity during all these different phases.

Tour the Poconos is a small, family-owned business. We offer two tours per day. Our early tour, from 11am to 1:30pm focuses on the food available in Stroudsburg. It is a vibrant and diverse community with many flavors of the world to offer. This tour is designed for families and foodies, and we will stop at 5 different locations so you can sample the amazing flavors of Stroudsburg! As most of the businesses we visit are run by families that need some time off, our list of stops can change day to day.

Our late tour, from 2:30pm to 5pm, focuses more on the wonderful drinks available in town. We sample sake from the only sake brewery in PA! We also sample local wine, beer, and cider, with one or two food stops included along the way.

Private tours are always available upon request.

Our tours are always small groups. While private tours can be scaled to accommodate most size groups, for our public tours, our group size is limited to 8 guests. We never want you to feel like just part of the crowd.
